At Circle of Healing Chiropractic, we will determine which technique to use based on the information discovered during the chiropractic exam. Each patient is treated as an individual and will be given the care based on what will yield the best results for that particular patient. Some of the most common techniques used by Dr. Scott and Dr. Hill to initiate the healing process are as follows:
Diversified
The most familiar to patients and the most commonly used amongst chiropractic techniques. This technique is used to adjust various joints in the body. It encompasses low-amplitude thrusts that usually results in a cavitation of a joint (the popping noise often associated with a chiropractic adjustment).
Thompson
This chiropractic method uses a drop piece chiropractic table. The pieces are propped up a fraction of an inch so that when the thrust is delivered, the table drops slightly, assisting the thrust while minimizing the force used for the adjustment. Cavitation of the joint may or may not occur.
Activator
This technique uses specific decorum to expose spinal subluxation, evaluate leg length irregularity, identify issues with body mechanics, and test neurological reflexes. The activator instrument is a hand-held tool used to deliver a moderate, fast-thrust, low-force chiropractic adjustment.
Webster
A specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/SI joint dysfunction. In so, doing neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved.
